Skiing at Red Lodge

The school the boys go to offers skiing lessons one day a week for the month of January when they are in 1st grade and above. This is Dylan's 2nd year of skiing and he is really doing great. Last week Holly and I decided to go up the mountain too and ski with him. We had alot of fun. I was nervous though since I haven't been skiing for about 12 years. It came back to me pretty fast though. Dylan had fun trying to kill us on all the little jumps and rabbit trails though! Brian and I went together this week and I must say I spent the day trying to keep up with him and Dylan. They just flew down the mountain! After such a great day Brian and I decided to start going each time the kids go with the school and we are going to buy some skis this summer so we can go each year. I can't wait until Colton and Logan start skiiing with us too. I forgot how much fun it is. Anyways, here are a few pictures from the last 2 ski days.

Christmas and a New Year!

We had a great Christmas spent with family. On Christmas Eve we went to church and then on to Brian's parents. We were able to have a nice evening with Grandpa and Grandma Young and 2 of Brian's brothers and their families. On Christmas morning Dylan and Colton were up early and trying so hard to be patient until Logan woke up and dad came back in from feeding cows and horses. After we opened our gifts and played around a little, we headed up to my parents house. We had a great afternoon spent with Grandpa and Grandma Russell and Aunt Holly and Travis. We went over to my Grandparents house for dinner with some of my aunts, uncles and cousins.

The day after Christmas Brian, Holly, Travis, Jeremy, Travis Young and 2 of Brian's cousins and his uncle played together on a team for the AHS veggie basketball tournament. It is a fun day with some alumni from AHS and now also open to others who want to play. The money goes to a scholarship fund. They all played really well and more importantly had a good time.

A couple of days later we went to the new indoor waterpark in Billings to celebrate the boys' cousin Natalie's birthday. It is a great place especially for a winter break! They have 2 large slides, a wave pool, another pool with basketball and a ropewalk, and a huge kids center with slides, sprinklers, water guns and a giant bucket that fills up and tips over every few minutes. We stood under it a couple of times and found out quickly that you really need to hold onto your suit when the water hits because it comes down with alot of force! It was a great time and we hope Natalie had a wonderful birthday!
