Tiny Tim

Last week was the Absarokee schools play A Christmas Carol. Colton tried out back in September and got the part of Tiny Tim. It has been busy going to play practices each week, but so worth it. The play was great. Colton LOVED it. He is already excited to see what play they will do next year.

catching up on fall

Well it has been months since I have posted something new. We have been having a very busy fall and it seems that Christmas is just around the corner so I thought I better get caught up on the blog.
Early in October we had a major snow storm and the boys had a blast building forts and having snowball fights.
Dylan was in the NFL punt, pass & kick competition. He placed first in his school and went on to regionals in Lewistown. He did really well, especially since it was only 19 degrees and windy. I was froze so I can't imagine how he must have been feeling out there!
The annual NILE stickhorse rodeo is an event the boys look forward to all year. They have the cutest rodeo all done on a stickhorse. This was Colton's last year to enter and Logan's first. Logan competed in the bronc riding and Colton was in the bull riding. They both won their events and had a nice trophy to show for it.
Halloween.......love this time of year! Carving our pumpkins was fun as always. Dylan made a horse, Colton did a flaming jack-o-lantern, Logan didn't want to carve and instead decorated his as a fish. I made the wicked witch of the west and Brian made howling wolves. Trick or treating time....Dylan was a hunter, Colton a skeleton and Logan was Buffalo Bill Cody.

The adults had fun dressing up this year as well. We went out with Holly, Travis, Jeremy & Darlene and their friend Erin. We all dressed as cartoon characters.

Left to Right : Donkey (Mindy), Shrek (Brian), Miss Piggy (Darlene), Kermit (Jeremy), Sylvester (Travis), Tweety (Holly), Ernie (Erin)
Logan celebrated his 3rd birthday on Nov. 5th. Dylan and Colton made him breakfast in bed before they left for school. He then got to spend the morning with dad in the tractor which is just about his favorite place to be. We picked Dylan and Colton from school and had a picnic lunch. Then had his choice of dinner that night. Great day for Logan! On Friday, we had a party with an Elmo theme. He had a wonderful time. I can't believe he is so old already! I took his 3 year portraits the week of his birthday and he poses so perfect!

On Saturday we moved cows and it was just such a beautiful day we took a couple of pics while riding.
Monday was my birthday and I also got spoiled with breakfast in bed. The boys gave me wonderful birdhouses that they had each made. That evening Brian made great enchilladas for us and my parents, and holly and travis came over as well. We watched the Broncos game and had a nice quiet evening

The Montana Fair, fishing and camping

We went to the Montana Fair last weekend which is always fun. Did the rides, played some games, ate corn dogs and cotton candy...mmmm love the fair!

My parents came fishing at our house a couple of nights ago. We had a great time fishing, cooking the fish and making smores around the campfire. Awesome memories for the kids with grandma and grandpa. Felt like many summer nights of my childhood.

After smores, Logan was getting sleepy by the campfire
In about 3 minutes after that Colton curled up at the fire and fell asleep. Good fishing will do that to a boy!
Last night the boys and I set up the tent in our yard for a little campout. We had shadow puppets and light shows and lots of giggles. So much fun we are gonna do it again tonight and I'm hoping my poor old body will survive another night on the ground!
