Weekend in Bozeman

This weekend the boys and I along with my sister, Holly and our friend, Jeni went to Bozeman and then Helena Montana for work. We had several appointments to do presentations for Melaleuca. The hotel we stayed at had a water slide so the boys got to go swimming several times. They had a blast and did really well in the water. Logan didn't slide but he had fun splashing around the water and jumping off the side of the pool. Our meetings went really well and I have to say the boys were awesome. They were really well behaved through all of our meetings and for the long car ride.

I love this picture of Colton ~ what a goofball!

Dylan coming down the slide. He is really doing well with his swimming. He would come off the slide and swim by himself underwater all the way to the edge. Then he would help to make sure Colton got onto the slide safely each time.

Logan getting ready for a swim.

Jeni making sure the boys get to the edge okay.

Ready for another run!
Colton would yell at the top to make sure we were ready to watch him...and then he continued to yell all the way down "Are you ready? Here I come! I'm coming!" His voice would echo in the big room very loudly! It was pretty funny because he did it EVERY time!

At the end of each day the boys were completely exhausted. I thought this picture was cute.
Big thanks to Jeni and Holly who helped with the boys and made it a fun trip!

Happy Easter!

On Saturday afternoon we went to Grandpa Rick and Grandma Peggy's for an Easter egg hunt with the Young cousins. The boys had a great time finding and refinding and refinding eggs

only Brayden and Chase were missing.

Saturday evening we went to our friends, Lynn and Debbie's house for a BBQ. After finding eggs there we went outside and roasted marshmellows for smores. It was a great night and the boys were exhausted when we got home.

Sunday we went to church (at 7:00 - ouch!) then came home and found eggs from the Easter Bunny. We made some special Easter cookies then everyone took a nap!

Ready for Church

Sunday afternoon we went to my Grandparents' house for Easter dinner. So the boys got to find eggs again and had a great time playing with a couple of their cousins. The adults had fun playing some games too and of course eating way too much great food!

Here is a cake I baked for dinner on Sunday (It's a cross with a lily on it.) I did it Friday afternoon and it was on the counter Saturday morning when Colton decided to taste it. He didn't just swipe some frosting, he actually dug a little piece from the side. Luckily I had some pieces that I had cut off to make the shape, so I was able to fill it in. I had to make new frosting and redo the decorating because I couldn't get the frosting the same shade. So, Colton spent the morning on the step watching me fix the cake. He decided it wasn't really worth it to try and "sneak" a bite! I can laugh now but believe me it was NOT funny at the time! ;)

Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed Easter filled with the joy of Jesus!

Almost Spring.........Then More Snow

Last week the weather turned warmer and it was starting to feel like spring (for Montana anyway). The boys had fun playing outside without 10 layers of warm clothes on. They played horseshoes and rode their bikes around. Logan just wondered from one thing to the next having a grand old time. He really liked getting hauled around in the wagon, but pushing it was also exciting.

Fast forward a couple of days and we have some snow, then a couple of days after that we have about six more inches. It was good though. We haven't had much snow all winter so it was fun to get out there in it without the wind blowing like it has been this year. Colton and I built this snowman with some help from Logan while Dylan was at school. Logan couldn't seem to get interested in it for too long because of the huge and thrilling snowpile that built up from all the snow that fell off the roof of the shop.
