Firehose Ski Race

On Saturday was the winter carnival at Red Lodge Mountain. Brian and 4 others from the Nye Fire Dept. were in the firehose ski race. They had to each hold on to the fire hose and race through a slalom course. They won second place (out of 3 teams!). They had fun and got to spend the rest of the day skiing.

earthquake in Wells, NV

Many of you may have heard about the earthquake in Wells, Nevada this morning. That is the town I lived in until I was 10. So far I have only heard of 3 minor injuries but there is so much damage. It is strange to see all the destruction in a place that is still dear to me. Anyways, I just wanted to post this so that any of you that view this will just pray for the little community of Wells as they try to put things back in order. More Bowling and the Sunday Night Smack Down

This week I have been busy working on my home business. I just made director this morning.....yea.....happy dance here! So, we decided to take the boys on an overnight trip to Billings since I had a meeting there Friday night. They had fun swimming at the hotel. The next day we went to the MATE show and then bowling, where Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Mike joined us. The boys did so good that they were beating everyone throughout the whole game. It was a great afternoon. After dinner we headed home and the boys were all so tired they fell asleep before we got on the interstate. Go Colton

Yesterday after church I had another meeting so the boys hung out with dad and went hot tubbing. When I got home they were all bathed and jammied up so big yea for dad! After dinner the boys all got into a wrestling match. I'm not sure who won but it was awefully funny watching the whole thing. Dylan got beat on a lot by the two little ones, but he takes it really well from them and is usually very careful (of Logan at least!) He usually gets laughing so hard that he can't fight them off. Colton takes on the tough guy, trash talking act. And Logan figured out he can just waller all over them both.

Because of Presidents Day there was no school so we all went out to help dad feed cows and do chores. Dylan was especially excited since he doesn't get to do that most days anymore. So here are the boys in the feed truck ready to go to work!

Nye Pie Auction and Tysen's birthday party

Last week Brian auctioned off pies for Colton's school as a fundraiser. Dylan and Colton were the ringmen and did a great job. They raised over $2000!! For some entertainment during the auction the school kids sang a few songs, then the band that was there got some of the kids to do the hokey pokey. It was pretty cute.

On Monday we went to cousin Tysen's 3rd birthday party. The kids had fun playing with all the cousins and eating cake.
